I had chose to make four educational posters on types of pollution that people aren’t usually aware of. I wanted them to serve a purpose, and help to educate people while looking at them. I had chose to work in the pastiche of the style of Kyle Cooper. Kyle Cooper does a lot of work in the genre of horror. He had designed the opening for American Horror Story, and the opening to the movie Seven. Kyle Cooper is often compared to working in the same style as Saul Bass. Saul Bass has a minimalistic approach with a slight twist to it. On my posters, I made the background black, and used a red horror font to give it a creepy feel. I then made several illustrations that showed examples of the types of pollution that were being discussed. The illustrations were done in a grayscale because I felt that any color would take away from the creepy horror feel of the poster. On each poster, there is a paragraph that talks about that type of pollution, how it’s harmful, and several ways to help prevent it.
